choose your own mindless adventure

you're early.

as you pull into the driveway, you notice that her car is still covered with the rose petals left early this morning.

your heart skips a beat.

you cut the engine, step out of your car, and find the card still inside it's ziploc(tm) bag placed underneath the windshield wiper.

your heart stops. a dog barks.

you slowly begin putting together all the clues that you didn't realize you were gathering this morning:

1) that blue glow coming from the bedroom windows. is it the tv or the computer? you looked in the window where the computer is, but saw no telltale head or hair in front of the monitor. the blue glow was still and didn't flicker. vcrs/dvd players typically have blue menu screens. maybe she fell alseep with it on?

2) the dog. you expected that damn dog to bark as it always does this time in the morning. but as you went about completing your mission, there was no trace of the dog. hmm... you'd like to think that it wasn't barking this morning because it knows your scent. but it is barking now. damned dog.

3) the car. more specifically, where it was parked. isn't it usually parked in front of the far left garage door? this morning it was parked in front of the middle garage.

4) the subaru. the subaru is usually parked in the far left garage. even though it's not her's, she's been known to use it. heck, _you've_ driven it. (it's a nice car).

alternate ending #1
things start adding up:

1-2= she won't wake to any normal alarm clock, so she sets the tv to come on. who knows what happened to the dog, so you can easily write it off.

subtract 3 add 4= who cares where the car was parked? and the subaru was in the garage, you just didn't look, idiot.

FINAL SCORE: 0 (jeez, give it up already)

alternate ending #2
things start adding up:

1-2= with the dog gone, she could finally watch her favorite dvd porn in peace. after all the exercise, she appearantly didn't have the strength to hit the power button on the tv.

add 3 and 4= maybe that brake warning light meant more than just a busted tail light. with her schedule as hectic as it was this week, she had to rely on the subaru to get around. she'd take the car to a shop to get looked at this weekend.

FINAL SCORE: 6 (forecast good)

alternate ending #3
things start adding up:

1-2= she won't wake to any normal alarm clock, so she sets the tv to come on. who knows what happened to the dog, so you can easily write it off.

subtract 3 add 4 = who cares where the car was parked? and the subaru was in the garage, you just didn't look, idiot.

FINAL SCORE: 0 (jeez, give it up already)

or, none of the above... did you really want this much monkei grey matter?
