two wheeled motion + baked goods + shower == sleepy monkei

if you haven't guess by now, i dig two wheeled motion. whether by my own power or that of a XXXcc engine.

last sunday, i was treated to a ride on a 50cc scoot! good old huron river drive out to the a&w and back... stopping at the dexter mill for some cider and good ass baked goods. (sorry, krispy, but the cinnamon sugar donuts @ the dexter mill kick your cake donut's ass... that and the apple turnovers totally reminded us of McD's old school deep fried apple pies... (coincidentally, i didn't know that they _stopped_ deep frying them... what a shame)).

anyhoo... huron river drive is a totally different experience riding pilon as compared to driving (2/4 wheels) or biking. it's nice just to be able to lean back and stare up at the trees and sky as you roll through the turns... i can't quite describe (yet) what it is about two wheeled motion that gets me... it must be the combination of motion and the lack of a steel cage/box to get in the way of you and the world. in a car, the envirnment is you and what's in the car. on two wheels, the environment is you and the world (and that pothole, or that dead thing, or or or).

and i still claim that the best shower you'll ever have is after a good ride in the cold. the post ride standing in what feels like burning hot water as you feel your insides thaw is great (and an easy way to warm back up, btw).

anyhow, yeah, two wheels 'n stuff.
