my family got me a roland spd-6 for christmas. i tore open the box and played with that thing for hours. ended up with little bloody knuckles. i think that's a good thing.

one of my new year's resolutions (okay, not really, but something i wanted to do last year, but didn't really start doing until the very end) is to get back in to some sort of music scene.

this year i've volunteered to help book music down at a brewery here. i think it'll be interesting, fun, hard, and tiring to get booking agents to send cool bands out this way, but at least i get to pick who to call so the rewards will be great.

and then maybe i'll find some people to play with too... (but i keep on saying that, and i'm actually doing this booking gig, so take that with a grain of salt)
