why i respect rob crow

in addition to having the musical creativity and follow through that i can only dream of, he's also pretty neat.

last night, at the pinback show, not two songs into their set and some guy yells out, "you guys suck!" rob asks, "how much did you pay to get in?" and starts fishing around in his pockets. the audience answers for him ($10) because all this guy can seem to blurt out is, "you suck!"

so rob finds in his pockets what he was looking for ($10), takes off his guitar, jumps off the stage, hands this dude $10, and escorts him out the door.

with zach being sick, there really was no need for further show distractions and iso t was an interesting move on rob's part. from all the collection at the door, i would assume that per $10, pinback only really sees maybe $2 or $3...

pinback did a great set and i like that they play their live stuff faster and rock out more. plus the bonus treat of post pinback set rob and brent doing 2 misfits covers and another song i'll assume was a thingy song.

yay for live music.
